Salaam a-ley-kum from Egypt!

Sorry I haven't posted much but I have limited time in front of a computer. Right now I'm posting from a slow machine using a 45.2 kps dial up connection in Luxor. So far, the trip has been phenomenal. Thursday we went to the Pyramids, Sphinx, Egyptian Museum, and the Khan al-Khalili market. Friday and Saturday we had an amazing time in the desert. Saw some cool rock formations, slept under the stars, and Saturday even got a sandstorm (ok, not the most fun, but definitely an experience). Sunday we went to the Citadel and some mosques and museums, and now, Luxor! Only a short nine-hour train ride from Cairo, it's known for the Valley of the Kings, Valley of the Queens, Temple of Karnak, among other sights. Should be a great couple days of Pharonic overload. I'll be back in Cairo for the day on Wednesday before I fly out late that night. I'll have some pictures up once I'm back in Madrid. See you all soon!
