Busting some myths

This slide show takes you through some common myths and urban legends and tells you if they're true or not (most of them aren't). You have to click on a rating to proceed to the next myth.

You may be shocked to learn:

-It doesn't take any longer for the body to digest gum than it does for any other food.
-Lots of other man-made structures besides the Great Wall of China are visible from outer space.
-Your cat really can't predict a hurricane.
-Your cat won't always land on its feet
-A penny dropped from the top of the Empire State Building could not kill a person.
-Men do not really think about sex every seven seconds

These and many others.....

Both hilarious and very disturbing at the same time. A rap parody to the PC v. Mac debate.

You have got to be kidding

http://news.yahoo.com/s/afp/20071115/wl_asia_afp/lifestyleaustraliachristmasoffbeat

Certain aspects of Christmas are fun. This is not one of them. It's bad enough that we're going to have a story per day about PC v. religion concern (which a good part of the time is ridiculous) but now the PC crowd is going after Santa Claus. What the hell?

So if Santa can't say his catchphrase, we better change the name of the state that sits between Washington and Montana (can't have kids identifying themselves as "da prostitute") and forbid the practice of cutting weeds of loosening dirt with a flat blade on a long stick (can't let the kids get the wrong impression about gardeners).

Ponder this for a little bit: If we prevent Santa from saying "Ho ho ho!" are the kids really better off?
